Möbius House

Rather than adopting a compact or vertical shape, the house stretches to its limits, offering an interior experience akin to a walk through the countryside. This spatial journey is not just a metaphor—it’s embedded in the very essence of the house. 

At the heart of the design lies the Möbius loop, a concept that shapes both the plan and section of the house. This loop organises the home into a 24-hour cycle of living, working, and sleeping, creating a fluid, uninterrupted flow of space. As the loop twists and turns, the materiality of the house shifts in response: glazed facades alternate with concrete structural elements, glass walls divide spaces, and even furniture such as tables and stairs, crafted from concrete, become part of the structure. The result is a home where materials and functions intertwine, mirroring the continuous movement of the loop itself.

The diagram of a double-locked torus is more than a formal tool—it is a process of exploration and transformation. It liberates the design from conventional interpretations, allowing the architecture to unfold in unexpected ways. The Möbius diagram is also not a rigid blueprint but a conceptual tool, reinterpreted and transformed into an architectural experience.
