Möbius House

1993-1998

If life is nonstop, your home should be too.

The Möbius House is a radical reinterpretation of what a home can be. This house seamlessly connects with its surroundings, creating a continuous dialogue between architecture and the landscape.

Facts and figures

2

We used both concrete and glass to create a home where material and function intertwine.

4

The Möbius House is laid out into quadrants that establish a seamless and continuous spatial flow.

3

Along the entire path of the home, we used three specific angles 7, 9, and 11 degrees to mirror the experience of listening to a piece of music defined by its distinctive rhythm.

This architectural loop produces a continuity and integration of living and working areas. The concrete and glass exterior of the house, too, seems to fold back on itself: from one perspective the glass is a skin slipped over a concrete house; from another, the building is a glass house framed by concrete.
